Did you know…?
Japanese has three writing systems: ✍🏻 Hiragana ✍🏻 Katakana ✍🏻 Kanji I am most familiar with Hiragana and feel it’s the easiest to learn. That's where we'll start. But, not just yet! There’s lots you can learn first before starting to write. In the future, whenever I write in Japanese I’ll be writing in Hiragana. I’ll start by informally introducing you to the writing. You’ll see it, but I won’t teach you how to read and write it just yet. Be patient! We’ll return to these lessons again to learn to write. This will allow you to review the material and begin to slowly absorb and recognize the writing. Japanese is a phonetic language. In my opinion, this makes learning easier. We need to start somewhere. Stella & I both love math, so let’s start with numbers. Learning numbers is actually really easy! Are you excited? Ready. Set. Let’s Learn Some Numbers!
